Bayview Retirement Community

After our extremely successful performance at the Bayview Retirement Community last year, the Canter invited Sevdah to present to their residents the folk dances and songs of Bosnia and Herzegovina this year again. Sevdah accepted this kind invitation with pleasure and will perform at the Bayview on April 4, 2008 starting at 7 PM. Please, note that this performance is not open to general audience, i.e. that it is meant for the Bayview residents only.

Nevertheless, Sevdah's performers and their parents will need the address of Bayview and here it is

A BRIDGE TO BOSNIA - A MUSICAL JOURNEY

Sevdah will also perform at the humanitarian concert A BRIDGE TO BOSNIA that is co-sponsored by the temple Beth Am and the Islamic Community of Bosniaks of Washington. The goal of the concertis to raise fonds for the American humanitarian organization BILD (Bosnia Iniciative for Local Development), which in cooperation with the humanitarian agency SEEDS (Southeast European Development Solutions, Inc.) works onthe economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Besides Sevdah, you will be able to hear and see in the program : Mary Sherhart, Peter Lippman, Elvir Bečić, Klezkids with Bottle Dancers, Cambialaria Ensemble, Sankofa Women's Chorus, the Rolling Steins, and Dave and the Dalmatians.
